UBC one of the first universities in the world to sign the Okanagan Charter!
Six Canadian universities—UBC, SFU, Memorial University, Mount Royal University, University of Calgary, and University of Lethbridge—will jointly become the first post-secondary schools in the world to formally adopt the Okanagan Charter: An International Charter for Health Promoting Universities and Colleges.
On October 31 join Professor Santa Ono (Vancouver) and Professor Deborah Buszard (Okanagan) at the Thrive Kick-off events as UBC commits to building happier, healthier communities by signing the Okanagan Charter.

The Okanagan Charter calls on post-secondary institutions to embed health into all aspects of campus culture, across the administration, operations, and academic mandates; and to lead health promotion action and collaboration locally and globally.
